When both Book 1 and Book 2 are studied, the learner will have covered 82% of the grammar needed for Level 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and be ready to move on to an intermediate text. Apart from the vocabulary lists, these books have no translation into English, and so they do require a speaker of Japanese to act as instructor.
